This RCA NOS tube is very, very good: frequencies are well balanced, gain is not too high so that you can get superb clean sounds... I use it in the first position of my Peavey Rockmaster preamp, with a JAN-GE in second position (with more mid frequencies & a higher gain). For V3 and V4 I use Balwind tubes. I think this set-up is the best one for this preamp.
