Bought 2 of these adaptors to fit in my ARC sp9 mk2, fitted 2 tungsol 6sn7gtb, switched it on, let them warm for about half an hour and the results were: bye lamm, bye manley, bye Cary, bye VTL, sorry fellows, my vintage ARC busted your mega bucks gear! That easy.

this works - a tad on the expensive side but hey it works. i fit it with a 9 pin socket saver - doesn't seat flush though.

Picked this up to I could roll a JJ 6SN7 from Tube Depot in my Schiit Vali 2. Price is good especially considering how quick you get it!

Upon first blush, it appears very solidly built. The pins are snugly anchored by some kind of resin. My JJ 6SN7 plugged in (keep a firm grip [one shouldn't see exposed tube pins]). Minor issue: if one plugs it into a socket saver, there's exposed copper pins (~5 mm). My amp is low voltage... and I don't have ANY desire to stick my fingers in there (thus shorting it all out).

Picked up a trio of these for my Musical Paradise MP-701 mkII tube preamp and with this adapter I can use both 6SN7 and 12SN7 tubes as it has a 6.3V and 12.6V heater switch. Works brilliantly! I have run both 6 and 12SN7's and they blow away premium vintage 12AU7/5814 tubes that I own. These adapters are not cheap in any way, they are very solid all around with tight octal sockets and strong, gold plated pins. Well worth the money for sure and highly recommended!
