NOS-6SN7GTB-COIN
This is the coin base version of the 6SN7GTB. Some of the last US production, these tubes are a great buy at this price. Sylvania, GE and RCA brands.
After many tests on my preamplifier lines SRPP (shunt regulated push pull) 6SN7, and in order to avoid problems of microphony. I finally found the Tube that works perfectly in a SRPP editing. This SYLVANIA 6SN7GTB coin base may be more expensive than an Electro-Harmonix or a Tung-Sol, but the result is superior over the entire audio spectrum. Maybe the black plate of these SYLVANIA Tubes make the difference.

This is just my initial impression. So far this tube sounds really good! I'm impressed with the stereo imaging (separation of L & R channels) this tube has! It makes my closed back Dan Clark Aeon's sound bigger. That's not to say it makes them sound like an open back, that's not the case. Unless the sound changes drastically with more burn in, this tube is a great buy!

A very good buy for the price! Using it with my Shciit Lyr+ and HD800s. Initial sound gives this a darker presentation, extending out the bass and subbass just a bit while rolling just a small bit off the treble. Positon clarity also improved just a small bit as well. Will try and update again once adequate burn in but recommend if your looking for a warmer listening experience.
