We love deals ... and here is a really good one. We have acquired a very limited supply of incredibly well built R-Core power transformers originally destined for a tube amp kit in the Japanese market. And although these transformers were wound for 100V mains, they work equally well at 120V with only minor changes.

R-Core transformers are amazingly quiet. These power transformers can be operated next to most low level audio circuits with minimal radiated noise (can't do that with an EI transformer). Additionally, these R-core transformers run cooler than standard EI core transformers, weigh much less, and are even smaller in size for the same output.

Right now, these TR-PW-879S transformers are a fraction of the price of similar EI transformers making them just too good to pass up. As further assistance, we've included a specification sheet detailing the expected performance powered at 120V. We even include an example schematic for wiring one of these transformers into power supply worthy of 20W (or so) of tube audio power. Deluxe amps never had it so good.
