Domestically packaged Sylvania 12AX7 are a great sounding U.S. made 12AX7. These are the same as the JAN Sylvania 12AX7WA, but were sold to distributors for general public consumption. They are a great sounding U.S. made 12AX7 that will improve the sound of any Hi-Fi or musical instrument amplifier. We have mostly original NOS Sylvania boxed tubes and some bulk packed Baldwin organ branded ones.

I have a pre owned version of this tube, I have it in V1 of my Orange Dark Terror amp. The cleans, and light crunch tones are super smooth, once you crank the gain it sounds like any other, but it really livens up the amp otherwise. It is a bit noisier than your typical short plate though.
