The Sylvania black plate, triple mica 5751 preamp tube is one of the most sought out 5751 variants out there. Made in the early 1950's these have D getters, are super low noise, sound amazing and the triple mica reduces microphonics. Our current stock is from bulk, has 5751 acid etched into the glass, has little or no screen printing and will come in a white box.

I just put one of these in my WA47 Microphone. It came with JJ 5751s and for some reason these got noisy after about 3 months. I put in a Sovtek long plate and that was an improvement, and lasted several years. This Sylvania 5751 has transformed the microphone. Wow, it is so warm and yet transparent. I plan to buy a spare tube, they are simply Incredible. This has become my goto mic again.
