The Rolls Royce of microphone preamplifiers, the V76 is considered by many to be the best vacuum tube microphone preamplifier on the planet. Originally used in German radio broadcasts, this venerable preamplifier has influenced great recordings by The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. This unit has been been thoroughly tested, cleaned, re-tubed, electronically / visually restored and digitally re-tested by Vintage King - the best in the business of hi-end audio equipment restoration. There is no better example of a V76 available anywhere.

All stainless steel is in great condition with minimal age patina. You will get a pristine & clean piece of equipment you can be proud of. Even though it shows a few wrinkles of time, that should be expected as it is over 50 years old. It is the knowledge of owning a perfectly performing piece of history that will make you love this unit.

In addition to a full electronic restoration, we sourced the best of the best for tubes. We didn’t just put new tubes in these units; we found an old school German tube dealer who had NOS cellophane wrapped EF804S and Holland made E83F. There are no better tubes available for these units.

All electrical contacts were cleaned, burnished and lubricated. All electrolytics were replaced. Photo is of actual unit you will receive.

Signal caps were replaced with Mallory 150 caps. Each incandescent lamp was de-soldered and replaced with a new voltage appropriate incandescent lamp … no LEDs for these Telefunkens. Photo is of actual unit you will receive.
