The new Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB is a favorite among classic Hi-Fi enthusiasts. It has all the sparkle and depth you want without the high price of NOS.

  • Very good tube. Sound and price is right. Look is awesome. I use them in most of my amps (Allen Organ 75 and Heathkit W3MA) and so far no failure after over 200 Hours. I think now they will last a long time.

  • The Tung-Sol is a very nice tube. I use it in my Schitt Saga preamp. I can switch between passive mode and tube mode. Compared to passive mode, the Tung-Sol gives me a little more bass and sweeter treble. It also gives the midrange a somewhat 3D effect. I also have a vintage Sylvania 6sn7GTB. The Tung-Sol is better.

  • Using this tube (and its appropriate adapter) on my schiit Vali 2. FWIW, I don't have much experience w. tube rolling, but I really enjoy the sound combo, and the price is very reasonable imho.

  • Very nice tube, I added the extras, e.g., balanced, high-gain, low-noise, and matching because I'm using them in an audio amplifier. They sound great at a great price.

  • Great sounding tube that really enhanced the sound of my Saga preamp.

  • So I bought these under recommendation that they can be compared to the best of the best. I know ever since I was young that Tung-Sol was a great brand, and have only bought this brand. These went into a SE-40. Originally I had the wrong tubes in the amps. They worked, but were not up to par. After having the boards redone, and buying new tubes, the new sound is indescribable. It blows my Krell and Jeff Rowland combination out of the water.

  • I put these in an SE-40. I was recommended these by the gentleman who did the work on the boards of the amp. These have been compared with NOS tubes that are highly sought after, and these hang with those. I am super super happy with them. I was told these will probably last a good decade or more in the amp. We will see!

  • like some other reviewers here i put this big bad boy on my vali 2. just marry it to a 6sn7 converter to 6922 and another 9 pin socket save to raise original socket "bed" and you are good to go. aesthetically it looks odd but it's all good. i bought it with balanced triode - very quiet with the Vali 2. as for sound it sounds as good as the other tubes.

  • i just got this like about a week ago. Quick shipping. I rolled this tube into a Schiit Vali 2 - sounds good - that being said it sounds like all the other tubes i put JJ E88CC / 6922, Electro-Harmonix 6922 EH , Electro-Harmonix 6CG7 / 6FQ7 EH. dont have the ears perhaps - this new tube is fairly big - if you want to roll this in a vali 2 be sure to pick up the Converter 6SN7 to 6922 Adapter and 9 Pin Socket Saver - the Vali 2 hole is too small for the tube and converter for contact - using the socket saver raises the socket. Also the socket converter doesn't go all the way down flush into the socket saver - i find - i pushed but also keeping in mind not to push too hard. what i also noticed after about a week is that there is a slight hum on high gain with the schiit vali 2 in combo with this tube. i switched out to a "normal" tube and the hum is gone. i picked up the hum with the HD650 - i didn't notice running an ATH-m50, or beyerdynamic DT 770 250 ohm - or maybe at the time the hum just wasnt' there and i just picked it up after a week. it's really not so noticeable with music playing. i like this pairing because really for the looks - it's freaky.

  • I ordered a pair with all the extras--balanced triodes, high gain, low noise and matched, to replace the Chinese 6n8p tubes in a Nobsound amplifier. Technically these are an older model of tube but the sound quality was noticeably different, clearer and crisper overall with a bigger separation between bass and treble. The preamps are the cheapest tubes to replace but also the ones that make the most difference, so I'd highly recommend these.

  • I have a used original Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB that these are based on. I had read that recently the production on these have improved, so I was interested to compare and see how they sound compared to the original (on my headphone amp, which this is output stage). These are very nice sounding. What I like about the original Tung Sols with my headphones, is that they seem to have greater extension in the highs and lows (other brands seem to be brighter in the mids). This tube has extension, has better clarity in the mids, but is also a bit brighter in the mids then the original Tung-Sols. I think that makes them a good tube for accoustic and vocals with certain headphones (that sound more grainy with the originals).

  • Installed in a Yaqin SD-CD3. Running these off a laptop with a cheap DAC into a Classe SSP-25 preamp into a B&K ex-442, driving Klipsch KLF-30’s. They had the sparkle and bass but the most impressive aspect was the 3D imaging it brought. For the price, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Amazing Tube, I got this tube for my Vali 2 and at first it sounded thin and hallow. Once I gave it some burn in only a few hours. The tube is simply amazing and Slam's hard. The low end this tube produces is amazing. That is with HD6xx's, AKG7xx's, and DT1990's. Overall I rate this my favorite tube rolled so far.

  • This tube works well with my amp (Dark Voice 336). After initial burning in period, the hum disappeared. The sound quality is clean in high frequencies & with nice punch in lower frequencies. Overall, I am very happy with this tube & Tube Depot.

  • This tube works very well with the Dark Voice 336SE. I knew before getting it I was going to need some burn in time before i could truly enjoy this tube. I let my tube run for 80hrs which is most likely overkill but these truly sound amazing. Pro tip when you're going through the burn in process remove the power tube so your unit stays nice and cool through this whole process.

  • Excellent quality & service. Fast shipping. It works for my amp. setup. Good balance of high & low tones. The high is bright; but, not too much. Solid mid. & low.
