  • This vacuum tube is full of romantic atmosphere, and very musical. Besides, the dynamic is outstanding. When I used this tube in my EAR 834p phone amp, the effect is excellent!

  • I have been using this tube in my phono preamp with such satisfying range and musicality that I ordered another one for my other preamp/table recently. I have heard no tube in its price range that delivers such satisfaction. It makes any cartridge sound fuller and more extended.

  • I was ready to sell my Marshall JTM 30. Even though I cured it of it’s overheating problem( the bias was set too high from the factory and it’s tranny was too small) I still wasn’t getting a good sound out of it. A friend suggested this tube....I tried it. O.M.G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This tube in V1 position turned this amp around!!! The sound is unbelievable now!!! I WILL NOT be selling this amp!! I now have 2 other Marshall JTM’s that I have given this treatment to and they now are fantastic!! I highly recommend this tube to turn around a lackluster amp!

  • Sounds absolutely amazing in the B300 SE amp I built! Highly recommended.

  • Wicked good tubes, but not the sound I'm looking for. These tubes are very well made. In terms of tonality I would consider them laid back and balanced. They don't sound exaggerated in any way, and the trebble is very smooth. I prefer the tonality of the EH AX7's, which on my rig sound much more lush, and full.

  • I bought these tubes to replace the Chinese ones on my amp and it makes a huge difference. Highly recommended

  • This tube in Hifi amps needs time to sound it's very best more than any preamp tube I have ever owned It changed dramatically after a couple months of feeling like I'd wasted my money. Then slowly but undeniably it started to open up and has more body and presents it was kind of thin and lazy at first. With this tube patients will reward you.

  • This is an amazing preamp tube for guitar amps. I replaced a low hours Tund Sol gold pin with this tube in V1 of a Soldano SLO. The difference was night and day. Higher single notes had more weight to them and a fullness that was missing with the Tung Sol. I have a NOS Mullard in my Mesa, but I'm seriously considering replacing it with one of these - they're that good!!

  • I asked Michele for advise /recomendation on tubes for preamp phono stage- minimax preamplifier,I was loking for detail spaciality and a slight mid bass bump(tube sounding) and WOW was the result GREAT!

  • The hype and the price are both warranted. This is definitely one of the best sounding current production tubes available. It's at its best in amps that don't have cascaded gain stages. If you have a high gain amp, save your money. The EH, Tung Sol and current production Mullard 12AX7's will suit you for far less money. If you have a Fender, Vox, or a Plexi, these are hard to beat.
